Is the Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Nintendo NFC Amiibo Accessory Bundle worth buying?

Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer and Nintendo NFC Amiibo Accessory BundleThe Amiibo figures have been a major success for Nintendo. While these toys are supported on all Nintendo Wii U consoles, they were not compatible with the 3DS handheld platform until recently. Back in February, the company released the New Nintendo 3DS, which natively supports the ability to read and write data off the figurines. With the upcoming Nintendo NFC Reader/Writer Accessory, other systems from the 3DS family will finally be made compatible with the Amiibos as well.

Nintendo will be bundling the NFC Amiibo add-on along with Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. So is the product worth buying if you want to add toys-to-life compatibility to your regular 3DS system? Let’s take a look at several factors before you can come up with your own decision.

Pricing

The bundle costs less when compared to buying the standalone Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Nintendo NFC Amiibo Accessory products separately. You can check out the prices for all three products with the following links: Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Nintendo NFC Amiibo Accessory Bundle, Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer and Nintendo NFC Amiibo Accessory.

About Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer

Happy Home Designer removes most of the life simulation elements from the Animal Crossing series and, instead, focuses on being able to design the exteriors and interiors of the animal villagers’ homes in addition to hospitals, schools and other buildings. So, while it may not be your typical AC game, there are still plenty to be excited about in the upcoming release.

In terms of Amiibo functionality, the game can read compatible figures, as well as the new Amiibo cards (one of which is included in the game), to unlock the homes of specific characters. Not to mention that you can also invite these characters to hang out in the game as well.

The compatible figures should be the following: Cyrus, Digby, Isabelle, K.K. Slider, Lottie, Mabel, Reese and Tom Nook. For the cards, you should be able to use Bill, Bunnie, Chief, Curt, Cyrano, Digby, DJ KK, Fauna, Goose, Isabelle, Kiki, Leonardo, Lopez, Lottie, Lyle, Mint, Patty, Octavian, Peanut, Rasher, Resetti, Roscoe, T-Bone and Tom Nook.

Other Compatible Games

Aside from Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, you can also use the Nintendo NFC Amiibo Accessory with Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Plus, Chibi Robo Zip Lash, Code Name S.T.E.A.M., Super Smash Bros. for 3DS and Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. Hopefully, there will be more compatible games announced in the future as well.
