5. Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late

Yes, Under Night In-Birth Exe:Late is a name of an actual videogame. The upcoming PS3 exclusive is being developed by the same studio responsible for the Melty Blood series. Like its spiritual predecessor, Under Night is a 2D fighting game with some visual novel elements added to help tell its unique story. Of course, there are also a few online multiplayer modes to delve into once you are done with the single-player campaign.

4. The Awakened Fate Ultimatum

Released in 2013, The Guided Fate Paradox ended up being a pretty good rogue-like RPG. The Awakened Fate Ultimatum, the follow-up release, further expands on the gameplay from the first game while adding in twist where you ultimately have to decide between two romantic partners. If you are into dungeon-crawlers, you can expect to spend many hours exploring the depths of The Awakened Fate Ultimatum.

3. Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea

Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea is the third and final game of the Dusk trilogy on the PlayStation 3. The developer, Gust, made some significant changes to improve the already addictive gameplay as there is no restricting time limit. Not to mention that the battle system has been made deeper while the synthesis mechanic should be more streamlined. Last but not least, it also retains the dual main character setup from the previous game.

2. Tales of Zestiria

To the surprise to some, Bandai Namco decide not to port the upcoming Tales of Zestiria to the PlayStation 4, at least not yet. RPG fans of the current-gen system will be missing out on the next evolution of the Tales series. In addition to having more open environments to explore, the combat now occurs on the actual field and will take into account the environment, which should lead to some exciting battle situations.

1. Yakuza 5

Despite of a strong fan base, Sega originally decided against releasing Yakuza 5 in the United States. Fortunately, Sony listened to PS3 gamers and was able to strike a deal to get the latest Yakuza game localized. Old and new fans alike should be in for a treat as the sequel features several gameplay improvements such as a bigger open-world city to explore in addition to smoother combat transitions. Not to mention that you can actually play as the lovable Haruka for the very first time.

The PS3 exclusive Yakuza 5 will be made available later in 2015.
